Eden McCafferty

Designer

Eden designs spaces to share the experience of wonder that first struck her as a child growing up in Arkansas and West Virginia, regions with cathedral-like pine forests and dramatic gorges. Early interest in math and the arts carried her to the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning to complete a BS in Architecture. While working in New York City at the urban design startup MUD Workshop, Eden witnessed local advocacy for public spaces and was inspired to pursue graduate studies in landscape architecture at the University of Virginia, with a focus on sensorial design in the public realm. Eden brings study abroad experiences in Brussels, Belgium and Barcelona, Spain as well as several years of professional experience, including an internship at Nelson Byrd Woltz. Eden joined the practice in 2023 and contributes to projects of diverse types near and far. Outside of work, Eden likes to explore the New England landscape with her dog, Alba, and is starting a collage club to stay connected to her UVA cohort.
