Stephanie Morris
Stephanie sees landscapes through a special lens of creative and artistic expression. Inspired by her grandmother’s artistic practice, Stephanie always felt an innate motivation to express herself and attentively pause to take notice of her environment. She grew up in the Houston suburbs surrounded by piney woods. Traveling annually in New Mexico throughout childhood, she fell in love with the stark landscape and strikingly blue mountains.
Stephanie’s practice of landscape architecture has been to date a pursuit of expression, interpretation of place, and attention to detail. She forged her path initially through creative endeavor and discovered landscape architecture through formal education at Texas A&M, cultivating her interests between art and place. After graduating with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Stephanie left her home state to discover a wider world and joined Sasaki, working for two years on a wide diversity of projects, including large scale planning and design of public parks.
In her spare time, she can be found exploring Boston on foot and sketching, composing the landscape of the city’s distinct neighborhoods. Travels throughout New England and appreciation of the distinct seasons here continue to inspire her.
