Duke Celebrated at SCUP 2018
On Monday, July 16th, Principal Eric Kramer will join collaborator/client Mark Hough, Duke University’s Landscape Architect, to present Opportunistic Renewal: Innovative Community Building in Unexpected Campus Places at the 2018 SCUP Conference in Nashville. The presentation will show “how Duke University took a utilitarian service zone at the edge of its historic campus core and successfully reinvented it as a contemporary and vibrant hub for student life.” Eric and Mark will discuss how this relatively small project garnered support from University leadership and the Duke community to enable district planning and the implementation of a long-term vision for the campus.
Reed Hilderbrand is also accepting a 2018 SCUP Excellence in Landscape Architecture - General Design for work on Duke’s West Campus Student Life Precinct.
More information on the conference can be found on the SCUP website.
