Kristin Fredrickson and Eric Kramer to Deliver Welcome Keynote at Longwood Garden’s Designing Change
Kristin Fredrickson and Eric Kramer will keynote Designing Change: Landscape Continuity in an Age of Uncertainty, a thought-provoking symposium curated by Anita Berrizbeitia, Professor of Landscape Architecture at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Held October 15 & 16 at Longwood Gardens, this gathering invites practitioners, scholars, and visionaries to confront today’s challenges and chart a course for continuity, resilience, and design in an era of profound change.
Designing Change coincides with the unprecedented relocation and reconstruction of the Cascade Garden—a modern masterwork by celebrated Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx—as part of the Longwood Reimagined project we created with architects Weiss Manfredi. Gain behind-the-scenes insight into one of the most ambitious preservation efforts in contemporary history, and how it may serve as a roadmap for preservation efforts of cultural landscape in the future.
