The Architect’s Newspaper Honors the Clark as Best Landscape 2015
The Architect’s Newspaper’s 2015 Best of Design Awards have honored the Clark Art Institute, completed after more than a decade of work with dozens of collaborators, as Best Landscape of the Year.
Juror Thomas Balsley writes, “I think it’s an extraordinary example of the possibilities of the integration of architecture and landscape and then nature beyond. The lines have been blurred wherever you go, wherever the eye travels. What is particularly impressive to me is the performative nature of the landscape. It seems to be something that was first and foremost on their minds as they were doing the site planning. It’s quite an impressive piece of landscape architecture.”
