Lizzie Needham


Lizzie’s passion for landscape architecture stems from her experience working as a gardener, where she found the garden to be a space for creativity, beauty and community building (both human and non-human!) She holds a master of landscape architecture from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Mandarin from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. At UVA, Lizzie was recognized for exemplary design innovation through the Landscape Architecture Award for Design Innovation Excellence. Her prior work experience includes teaching in and designing schoolyard gardens for the San Francisco Public School District and researching architectural robotic fabrication methods at UVA. At Reed Hilderbrand, Lizzie enjoys designing planting palettes for a handful of residential projects, ranging from the Berkshires to Turks and Caicos.
