Marcus Jost
Marcus considers landscape architecture an opportunity to share his love of exploration and community with others. A Noblesville, Indiana native, he grew up seeking out the woods, creeks, and lakes dotting his highly agricultural region and found an interest in the city’s legacy of Victorian architecture. A growing desire to participate in the design of his environment lead him to earn a BLA from Purdue University. Marcus assisted in the design of Waltham High School’s campus during an internship with SMMA, developing garden plantings, outdoor classrooms, and plazas as well as educational signage across the site. He joined Reed Hilderbrand in 2022, where he contributes to the Volpe District Redevelopment project in Kendall Square of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Outside of work, Marcus loves to explore Boston on foot, check out new restaurants and movies, and care for his plants.
