Wanyi Li

Wanyi built her sense of wonder about nature through outdoor exploration in different cities in her home country of China. Her interest in landscape architecture started in high school after a friend suggested that the discipline could be a good combination of her interests in architecture and plants. She went on to earn a Master and Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture from Beijing Forestry University. She then moved across the world to pursue an MLA at University of Virgina, where she explored a wide range of ecological and cultural topics and received an Honor Award for Students from ASLA Virginia. Her work experience includes internships across the US and China, including Design Workshop, GGN, and Turenscape. Since joining in 2020, she has worked on projects at MIT, Harvard Business School, The Alamo, UNC Forest Theatre & Coker Arboretum, University of Delaware and several residences. Wanyi loves to travel, hike, and watercolor.
