Yves Brocker

From St. Gallen, Switzerland, Yves has visited and studied landscapes all over the world but continues to draw inspiration from his surroundings during annual family ski trips to the Swiss alpine landscape. With an aptitude for drafting, design and technology, he began his practice with a four-year apprenticeship in a small local landscape architecture firm while simultaneously completing high school—a unique opportunity given Switzerland’s dual education system. Yves later earned a BSc in Landscape Architecture with specialization in Urban Design from Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and an MLA from Cornell. His master’s thesis explored the concealed materialities of water in Passugg, the home of Switzerland’s oldest mineral water springs. Yves worked as a campus planning and development consultant for EHL University in Passugg and joined Reed Hilderbrand in 2022. Here he contributes to New England institutional projects including Harvard Business School and Tanglewood Music Center. In his free time, he loves to play sports and is an enthusiastic soccer fan, following live Swiss and European matches.
