Morris Stephanie

Designer

Stephanie sees landscapes through a special lens of creative and artistic expression. From a family of artists, she has always prized connections with and interpretations of the land. She grew up in the Houston suburbs surrounded by the piney woods and traveled often to visit grandparents in New Mexico, where she fell in love with the strikingly blue mountains and desert-dwelling plants.

Stephanie’s practice of landscape architecture has been to date a pursuit of expression, of attention to detail, and interpretation of place. She forged her path through creative endeavor, initially. Following graduating from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Stephanie decided to leave her home state and discover something new. She joined Sasaki and spent two years working on large scale planning projects.

Stephanie’s interest in landscape architecture was carefully cultivated throughout her education, which she’s continuing through travels in New England, whose four distinct seasons she very much admires. In her spare time, she can be found exploring Boston on foot, getting to know the city’s distinct neighborhoods.
